Postpartum Dance Movement Therapy Program

Dance Movement Therapy uses mindful movement to integrate body, mind, and spirit—awakening inner awareness, releasing emotional blocks, and connecting you to embodied flow.

After birth, your body needs gentle support to realign. Your core, posture, pelvis, and spine have all adapted through pregnancy and birth. This 7-week online program, facilitated by Rebecca-Bee Gunson, creates a sacred container for your healing journey.

Each week we will:

  • Explore a specific theme connecting movement, mindfulness, and motherhood

  • Practice gentle movements designed for your postpartum body

  • Create space for emotional expression and release through embodied practice

  • Build community connection with other conscious mothers

  • Develop tools you can use at home between sessions

Through this process, you'll experience:

  • Week 1: Welcome Home to Your Body

    Focus: Grounding, body awareness post birth
    Movement: Breath-led swaying, gentle footwork
    Intention: Reclaim your body with kindness

  • Week 2: Emotional Release & Flow

    Focus: Expressing unspoken feelings (joy, sadness, frustration)
    Movement: Free movement, shaking, guided improvisation.
    Intention: Let the body speak what words cannot

  • Week 3: The Mother Within

    Focus: Identify shift and spiritual integration
    Movement: Mirror work, slow intentional gestures
    Intention: Honour the emerging self

  • Week 4: Rhythm of Bonding

    Focus: Exploring the energetic bond with baby
    Movement: Rocking, holding, shared rhythms
    Intention: Baby-wearing or baby-inclusive movement

  • Week 5: Nourish & Restore

    Focus: Self-care through movement
    Movement: Floor-based, slow, nurturing flows
    Intention: Refuel the spirit through stillness and softness

  • Week 6: Art of Circle

    Focus: Being seen, supported, and uplifted
    Movement: Authentic movement exercise

Rebecca Bee is a Dance Movement Therapist, Postpartum Doula, and Sound Ceremonialist who weaves nature connection and womb wisdom into all her offerings.

Rebecca Bee has been teaching yoga and dance for many years, now focusing specifically on supporting mothers to return to their bodies after the initiation of birth.
